Production Equipment Inc. has been in operation in Saratoga Springs since 1994 and is the rental side of the sister company Regent Street Films. Whereas Production Equipment Inc. provides area filmmakers with rentals of fine camera equipment and accessories, Regent Street Films produces commercials, documentaries, corporate videos, and sports TV. About the Business
Taylor Morrison began his career as a DP/Cinematographer in 1993 after transitioning from gaffing in the Upstate NY and NYC area. As an active Gaffer and owner operator of a Lighting /Grip truck for 5 years, he found much experience working with top DP's from the NYC area. Working on film for MOW's, ABC After School Specials, TV series such as Unsolved Mysteries, Music Videos and Corporate Videos, he learned the craft lighting and exposure.
After putting a new Arriflex film camera into his rental inventory in 1994, he was asked to shoot many spots for local agencies and production companies. Expanding into long form documentaries and several indie features while continuing with commercial work. Selling his inventory of lighting equipment in 1997 allowed the purchase of new camera equipment and a refocusing of the business towards camera rentals. Taylor has specialized with the Red Camera technology as an early adopter with the company and currently owns and rents 3 Red cameras.
Combined with a deep lens inventory, a firm understanding of on-set data technologies, and a strong background in lighting and exposure, Taylor has been fortunate to have maintained a small but dedicated client base for many years.
